Santa 12.23.07

Our friends Mike and Nicole had a Christmas party. Considering Catalina was an ANGEL at Liams first birthday party, I expected the same at Calvins house.....boy was I wrong. She screamed for the first two hours we were there. Every time someone even looked at her, the eyes were wet. I don't quite understand why some days she is perfectly fine, and other days she is a freak show. In any event, I was pleasantly surprised that she was calm sitting with Santa Chuck and even was smiling by the end of the night. At about 9:30 she was even laughing loudly at Calvin jumping around in HER carseat. Any way, here is a photo of the events.

First time eating Bananas - 12.23.07

Wow, my kid is a chunk! But then again, did we expect anything else considering who she came from. So, here she is going to town on rice cereal and banana mush. Is this what we will all look like at age 90??? God help us.

Trip down memory lane 11-30-07

Oh, how soon we forget. Just a little tiny bundle that was always crying! This photo was taken by my friend Brian when Catalina was just a day old. What a great shot of her!

Thanksgiving 11.22.07

Well, Catalina's first T-day did not go as planned! She woke up happy, but then things took a turn for the worst after her mid-morning nap. I bathed her at about 10:00, and she screamed through it. She was tired and wanted to sleep, so I put her in her crib and off she went! At about 12:00 she woke up from her nap and she was a bit pissy. Well, from 12:00-6:00 she screamed. Having a house full of people who all want to tell you why your kid is screaming may be the most annoying thing ever! Especially when they are all yelling at you because you gave your kid rice cereal too early and that is probably why she is screaming........woops.

Anyway, she was fine after that and it was business as usual at the Caicedo house. Our last guests were my brother and his girlfriend, and they went home around 8:30.

Thank god Catalina is cute otherwise I probably would have been on the news today.

Time for Church! 11.4.07

Miss Catalina was finally christened! She was such a good girl and she did not even cry. We started off the morning with church at 9 am, then had a party at...where else, the Sons of Italy. Angel catered it for us and the food was amazing. I am kinda glad its over because it was so much work and so much money, however we had a lot of fun too. Not to mention, Catalina now has a bigger bank account than I do!

Happy Halloween 10.31.07

I know Halloween has already passed, however I needed to post this one. Here is my little ducky! This photo was taken a few days before Halloween just to make sure the costume fit. I guess that was a good thing because come Halloween night, she was one pissed off rubber duck! I never even got the costume on her because she screamed all night long. She was over tired and sick of being passed around. She stayed at the house with nanny while Tembo and I accompanied the Meuse Children, the triplets, their brother and their new German Nanny! What an interesting night!

Baby Legs 11.13.07

Are Catalinas legwarmers not the cutest things you have ever seen? They are called Baby Legs http://www.babylegs.net/ They are legwarmers/armwarmers for babies, and they are the coolest things! Catalina has 5 cool pairs, one pair sporting the pink skulls and crossbones. This was taken this morning before we left the house. Notice the small area of chunk hanging out by the upper left thigh! OH just like mommy!

Now Introducing Catalina 11.12.07

Hi Folks

I know we need to rewind a bit here, but how much time do you really have when your out on maternity leave! Anyway, Catalina was born on August 8th 2007 at Mt Auburn hospital in Cambridge. She weighed 8 lbs 6 oz and was 21.8 inches long. She was supposed to be delivered naturally, however I had an emergency c-section because she wanted to come out ass first. I call that trouble from the beginning! Well, here she is, three months later!

P.S. anyone that tells you labor was easy and that you eventually forget the pain is a big fat liar.
